I discovered yoga during my first pregnancy. I didn’t even know I needed it until I stepped into my first class. It was where I finally started to love my heart, mind and even my body. And in the midst of working too much and starting a family, it’s where I discovered how to slow down and breathe.
I wouldn’t be considered the advanced yogi to most in the Western world. I modify poses. I prefer a gentle, contemplative class over a vigorous flow. I am very much a student just as much as I’m a teacher.
As a mother of two girls, I especially love to teach preschoolers and their parents. I love helping kids practice self love, mindfulness and breath early so that they don’t have to figure it out later like most of us do. And as a parent, I know there’s nothing more we need than a deep breath. So, I love giving parents the opportunity to practice along side me.
I have 280 hours of training, certified in adult, baby & toddler and prenatal and postpartum yoga. I am also certified in yoga touch, using therapeutic touch techniques in all of my adult classes and in training as a Mindful Educator.
